It did the trick!

I had a video lens with some mold, a little alcohol to dissolve the adhesive and the wrench worked smoothly to remove the outer element allowing for the lens to be cleaned internally.
Well worth it!

The screws come loose easily, but if you are careful it works well.

I like that this set has 3 pairs of different types of tips: flat, half flat, and pointed. This makes it versatile for a variety of uses.
Saved me some big bucks

I had a Leica binocular eyepiece lens drop out of its niches and found it was held in with a typical lens ring - two tiny notches in the ring for a wrench like this one. Did not have to go to a repair shop. After getting the spread right the two needles fit right into the ring slots and I screwed it back together.
This wrench is solid. I'm sure that any size ring can be handled. Highly recommended.

Don't work on your lenses without one!

I am in the ongoing process of learning to work on and actually working on vintage lenses. If you've gotten this far, you must be too. Opening lenses requires catching slotted or drilled openings in retaining rings in order to get to the "next layer." You cannot do this with one screwdriver. You cannot do this with one pick or hook. All you'll do is foul the slot and probably damage the glass you're working perilously close to. You need a spanner wrench. This one is available from multiple sellers and you've probably noticed the variety. I chose this one because of the set of three tips, and the multiple ways to fasten the wrench together. Overall, it works well. I would prefer that it stay "set" better without using the wrench to cinch things down. I would also prefer that the cross rod were slightly tighter in the sleeved openings so that the points were more definitively parallel. However, those are nits. This is a good value and does what I want it to do. Recommended.
