Does what is is supposed to do... the ability to cut the fitting the correct size to the washer was pretty smart and works well.

The media could not be loaded. The first two hoses I purchased eventually sprung leaks along the hose after more than a year of use. This replacement hose is leaking from a solid part as you can see from the video. When I went to return, Amazon gave me the task of taking it somewhere or paying a fee for pickup even though the item sold to me is defective and none of this is my fault. Lousy experience to say the least. My family has already gone 2 days without our washing machine and I have a wet load in there now, had to deal with a flooded home from the hose. And now I have the joy of adding an errand to my workday tomorrow to take this to a drop off location and hiring someone to locate and install a replacement same day. If the item is defective, Amazon should pick it up no charge.

Quality is kinda iffy especially at the point of connection BUT...I expected this and had a plan. This was for a GE washer with a drain hose that was only 4.5' long (seriously?) with a right angle connection. GE even makes an official hose extension for it but IT DOES NOT WORK. Whoever designed those items should be drawn and quartered. Anyway, I cut the old hose at an appropriate point to retain the right angle fitting to the washer, then applied silicone caulking to the cut end and inserted it into the new hose. There was no need to trim the new hose, the old one went all the way into the smallest of the three size options. Then I liberally applied more caulking at the rubber end of the new hose down into the gap between the new and old hose, completely sealing the connection between them. Finally I used three ring clamps, at each end and the middle of the joint, and let dry overnight. We've done a half dozen loads and no leaks. This hose worked perfectly for my situation but the trimmable, multi-size end is a definite weak point. It is simply too flimsy to last as a main connection point especially if there are any bends in it where the cheap material will get stressed and likely split as other reviewers have noted. But if you have a problem like mine and are minimally handy, it's perfect.

The hose did not fit my washer. I had to return it.
