This summer I have gotten into a kick of making home made ice cream. I started off with 2 different colors of these and over time I have purchased 2 more sets, each with a different color. I end up making a half gallon of Ice Cream at a time which these hold perfectly in 1 set. Now you might ask, why not just reuse an old 1/2 gallon container? Well if you do some research freezing in smaller containers allows the Ice Cream to set better and be softer when it sets, so its almost Gelato like in consistency instead of hard. I do mess up sometimes, but when it works it is really smooth and soft like it should be. The different lid colors allow me to make different batches of ice creams with flavors that hopefully I can pair up to the lid color in some way, or at the very least distinguish from other flavors. These are great, definitely recommend.
