Right out of the box, this stapler was pretty scuffed up and had finger prints on the silver mechanism. The scuffs are permanent & couldn't be cleaned off. It looks like it had been used and is a little banged up, or the finish was just badly done, which is more acceptable than being used considering the price is pretty good for a heavy duty stapler. Otherwise, it works very well. I tested it on 40 pages & the staple went through them like butter, so although I'm not thrilled about receiving what appears to be a used product, I am only reducing my rating by 1 star because it works well & is priced well.

I never rate anything at five stars, until today! When I first opened the stapler and picked it up I was not impressed at all with the weight, and I had thought that it would not preform as advertised. However, once I tried the stapler as it was advertised that it could staple 60 sheets of paper. Well I am here to inform you that I have used 75 sheets of 20# paper with obsolete ease. I must say that I have only used the staples that came with the Mr. Pen stapler. Do not let the light weight fool you of its power. In addition I would recommend that you do not allow a child under the age of 12 to use this stapler because it can very easily staple finger completely. Now I shall disclose that I do not have first hand knowledge that the stapler could easily staple through a finger. Due to the fact; I currently cannot find anyone that would allow me to attempt staple to one of their fingers.

I used to like the standard staplers, but this one is small but strong and easy on your hand. Very easy to staple multiple sheets! It won't jam easily which is great. I use it almost every day now and used by others and so far it's lasted a lot more than a much bigger standard stapler.
