Great for beginners; nail tips and trainer nails did pop off on me but..

So I filed and roughed up the trainers nails as you should but when I applied the glue the nail tips weren't sticking. At first I thought it was the nail tips I was using so I used the ones I had from a Sally's acrylic kit and they popped off too. After having a million nails pop off and trial and error with different glues, tips, and applications, I used the nail dehydrator that came with the Sally's acrylic kit to see if it would work and it did.
If you're having issues with nail tips staying on use a dehydrator along with roughing up the nail. It sucks that you have to use it on a dummy but if you don't have anyone to practice on or don't want to use real hands yet I would suggest it.
Also, as I read in another review, if the whole nail is popping off the dummy push the finger tip back and the nail will stay in place.

Good product but the false nail tips do not stick to the hand tips with super glue had to use rhinestone glue to attach the nail tips.
Great for practicing a lot of nail services - except one...

This worked great (for me) in regards to practicing acrylic overlays, acrylic with glue on tips, hard gels, hybrid gels, gel polish, and even shaping and filing. Cutting down the nail is a bit harder than with a real hand, but I just used my acrylic clipper and it worked fine. The articulation of the hand worked wonderfully too, it was so nice to practice using two hands (I've been doing most of the nail services on myself, I haven't entered any training or apprentices yet)!
The only thing its not great for - and I'm sure I could find a work around, is using traditional nail forms (not dual forms) because the very thick nail sits on top of the finger instead of inset like a real finger. Basically, the fake nail is so thick that you can't do more than create just a tip rather than what is traditionally done; an overlay with a tip. In the picture the nail hasn't been shaped or filed, and when I realized how poorly it was working because of how the hand was designed, I kind of gave up - which is why it looks so unfinished. I'm going to try some other methods to get this to work - but the truth is that those methods wont be used with real clients so it's a bit of moot point.
In regards to the nails or fingers popping off, I didn't experience any of that. I don't know if it's the improved design or simply because I generally have a gentle hand when it comes to filing and stuff. None of the included nails fell off without some pressure or when my kids started waving it around and hitting furniture with it. Also, before gluing on fake tips to the fake nails, I roughed up the surface with a file and used just a bit of glue - too much glue and it slipped around and had a hard time drying.
