Solid and not too thick

I've got a bunch of cooking utensils designed to not damage my non-stick pans, these are the best. I bought them on a Prime Day special and even for that they seemed pricey, but I took a chance. Generally such utensils are either so thick that using them is like tying your shoes while wearing mittens, or so flimsy that they bend when you need to push, scrape, or lift. These aren't quite as strong as I'd like but they're close, and the silicon coating is thick enough that I think it'll last and thin enough that you can flip eggs or whatever. The one thing I find a little weird is that the forward half of the ladle is very flexible, but as I've thought about it I realize that's actually a good thing. The ladle will easily deform when pushed against the bottom of a pan so that you can scoop up more of the soup or chili or whatever and then it pops back into shape as you lift it away. All in all these are the best cooking utensils I've found and the variety of available colors is a nice bonus.

My first impression upon receiving them was that they were very large and heavy. I am a petite person so they seemed awkward to use. Once I started using them, I liked them so much that I ordered a second set for our second home. My favorite is the ladle. I use it to try to ladle grease out of the ground meat and other meats. By titling the pan, the grease pools in the other end and this ladle is squishy enough to squeeze into the edge of the pan to ladle up the bits of grease. It look me a while to use the spatula because I have other favorite ones, but when I do use it, it works nicely to crumble ground beef or sausage. I haven't found much use for the drainer, but that's probably because I don't deep fry.
