To keep tabs on each other (as we are both going thru health issues), we got these to help us with that. The only issue I have with it, is the glow of the channel number at night. It is a soft blue and it's not too overpowering. I just prefer a totally dark (blacked-out) bedroom. Yes I can cover it, but then I have a rag (or whatever) to push along with the button. I hate when my personal preferences make some things a pain in the butt.
These are decent units with simple push-button channel selection, and soft silent buttons. there are hanging slots on the bottom to help with wall mounting, which we did not do. Short antennas are fine.
I recommend them 4 stars. They are nice but nothing's perfect. I'd buy them again, though.

Gosh I love this product already and wished I had done it sooner. The ease of not getting some annoying sound that make you jump out of your skin. To a voice that says can I get an extra blanket is so cool. No more spending a ton on those cheap little battery ones, they ate batteries that had to be changed just about every week. it took a lot of playing with and trying a bunch of different channels and changing the buttons in the back to find one that actually started to work. One of the boxes has a bit of static but I can live with it, hope they hold up because they really don't look very sturdy. Then my disabled loved one has a hard time sometime following directions so I put white tape with a hole in it around the talk button and with the blue light it kind of glows in the dark, so I put it on even the one I use and it is perfect. These devices I would recommend so far but just got them today LOL!!!!!
