Sometimes the power up is extreme. You set your temp and then it skyrockets well above the desired temp, assumingly to get your wax to temp, but when working with smaller amounts of wax it just burns the wax and makes it impossible to work with. I'd say it's fine if you know you're using a LOT of wax, but for sanitary reasons it's better to use only as much as you need per session.

For someone who has thick, fast-growing, dark leg hair, this worked as well as expected. Pulled quite a bit out but was still pretty patchy. The hair doesn't seem to be growing in the waxed spots nor can I see it, but it has felt prickly since the day after I waxed.
Note that this was my first time waxing so next time will probably be better. I am a complete beginner at this and nowhere near a girly girl, but this was super easy to use. Temp 143-150 (light turns green when at temp) seems to work best but follow the instructions and test on your wrist first.

This product is great! The wax beads are of good material, the heating tool is adjustable and works fast. The only thing would be learning to know which temperature is best, but once you figure that out it works wonders. The wax spreads smoothly on skin and peels evenly. It comes with prep and post care. This product makes up-keep so much easier not to mention waxing is better than shaving for so many reasons and this product just does it right

So I am not sure why there is so many negative reviews but I did notice most of the bad reviews are of a different wax pot, without the digital temperature gauge. I'm assuming it is the previous model. But THIS wax pot (with digital temp. gauge) works wonderfully. I have waxed many years at home with a Gigi pot and Gigi Wax so I was hesitant to replace brands but I found this wax (the wax that comes with pot) to work great on my facial hair and body hair. Zero issues with heating and I almost feel like this wax hurts less then the Gigi hard wax I'm used to. Everyone is different though but happy to say I have had no issues with the pot or heating.
