Remove the shapes before giving to an infant

I read the reviews before I bought this, which were mostly positive with one pointing out that the shapes are a serious choking hazard. I can see that now that I have it, but I just went ahead and stored the shapes away for now. When she's past the putting everything in her mouth stage I'll bring them back out. Still fun without the removable pieces.

Who doesn't like watching their toddler throw a tantrum because they can't unzip the activity book? She can certainly use a zipper but the curvature if the book sent her on the struggle bus. Our only solution was to accidentally lose it for a week.
Once she was re-introduced to the devil of all toys, she stripped the hands off the clock. Beware of the choking hazard! Once we set the hands aside, she resumed normal play. She enjoys pulling off the shapes and losing them. Eventually she'll try the buckle and shoe string. Until then we pray she is able to unzip the book and toss around little felt shapes, obviously sans kicking and screaming.
We are perplexed by the button activity since there is no snap/button and only a small circle of velcro. Since the toddler is none-the-wiser we won't make a fuss.
