My son is 9 and loves all things science. We had a ball putting these contraptions together. I will say, the screws are so small, they are easy to handle for little fingers, yet sometimes the screws were just a little bit too tough for him to do without help. All in all, he was able to do almost all of the work himself, just needed a bit of help now and then, but he thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend this kit.

I got this for my granddaughter. She is in preschool, and they were making robots there. Her Mom got her a similar kit but with some different robots. It turns out it is not a kit for preschool, or I would say kids under 8 years old without adult help. Reason being the screws are tiny and hard to get started even for me unless you have a magnetic screwdriver to hold the screws. Another reason is the wires could be wrapped together or around the motors, but it is best to solder them to the battery packs. I do know how to solder and have tools to do what needs to be done. So, someone starting out without the knowledge of soldering, or the tools would not like this kit. It is a very nice kit with a lot of interesting projects.
