Better than stainless steel option

I bought these plastic bolts to replace the stainless steel bolts that hold the toilet tank to the bowl. The original bolts rusted completely in just a few years and water started to leak. Removing the old, rusted ones was a pain but replacing them with the plastic pair was a welcome breeze. Easy installation, no leaks and no more problems with rust. I don't understand why toilets come with stainless steel bolts when you can use plastic ones instead. Highly recommended.

Bought these for a Universal Rundle toilet that was probably using 5/16 tank bolts. The top of them was rusting away and the rust was staining the toilet bowl. These are larger in diameter and snugly fit through the holes but thankfully they worked. The old bolts came out easily they weren't totally rusted out yet, only on the top. Hand tightened these down and no leaks. These seem very sturdy and the included washer seals well.

These are definitely the best choice for tank bolts. I can't believe that only one supplier has come up with the idea of using plastic bolts, especially since seat bolts are almost always made of plastic; just seems like a natural association. The original metal bolts must be designed to fail; how could they not corrode after being constantly submerged in water for several years? I had to use a file to saw one of them in half because the nut had fused to the bolt and a saw would not fit into the small space. I don't expect to ever have to replace these plastic bolts, so I'm very pleased.

The only complaint is I wish they added an extra nut and washer to fasten the screws from the outer side of the tank. I would feel more secure. Even if they charge and extra dollar. Sometimes don't get those engineers. Otherwise, very easy installation. No tools required. So far so good. Hopefully it will not leak.
