This is my sixth Maydear Stamped Cross Stitch Kit, so I am not brand new to it. It would definitely be too much for a beginner. I love the Maydear stamped kits, though. Once you figure it out, it is relatively easy to do. This one has 60 colors, so you know it's going to take some time. The colors are gorgeous and that makes it more fun. Maydear gives you plenty of embroidery floss - and if you run out they will send you more!! There is a lot of stitching a few squares and then stopping to start a new color. In the picture you can see a partially completed section with the symbols for the stiches visible. The stamped stitching guides wash out completely when you're done. It will be beautiful when it's done!!
