My ten year car's interior is in excellent shape except for a tear that had formed at the seam on side of my drivers seat. I first tried to repair it with one of those leather repair kits. It looked good a while but over time it started to crack and look bad. I decided to slap a piece of leather repair tape on it and be done with it.

I first order the standard black color from ONine. I put a piece on but wasn't happy. The tape was a much darker black than the leather on the side of the seat. The piece of tape I cut had a sharp point and that point had started lifting after only a day or two.

I then ordered the matte black. This color matched so much better. It actually looks a lot better in person than it does in the photo I provided. I also made sure the piece I cut had rounded edges this time. It's been a couple of months now and the adhesive is still holding up well.

Matte black leather repair tape seems hard to find. ONine was the company I could find that makes it. It's a good quality leather repair tape, just don't cut small pieces with sharp corners.

I did use the roll of black tape to fix the seat on my daughter's gaming chair. I just cut pieces off the roll and that too has been holding up well.

I own a limousine and my experience with vinyl is that after period of time, all of a sudden the vinyl starts to get cracks where it's sees the most use and or sun. In the past, I tried a competing similar product that starts with a "M" and that product didn't work because the repair that was stuck on started migrating leaving a sticky residue behind. I would painstakingly clean off the sticky residue and then it would migrate some more. It was a never ending ordeal! The "repair" didn't last for long.

However, with this product, so far it has not migrated at all. I'm hoping that doesn't change before I can get the seat reupholstered. The repair tape has a heavy grain. I'd prefer a lighter grain and I think a lighter grain would blend easier with other vinyl. I understand that black is the easies color to match. So, it's hardly noticeable and I'm very happy with it. Whether I used a bigger piece or small piece of repair tape, it's holding up!

I used this on my leather seat in my car. After seeing other reviews I pulled the rip open a little before placing the product on it so that the material hopefully wouldn't pull so tight (and rip along the product ends). Two months later it works well (no ripping and looks decent).

We have a recliner that gets used by not only the humans but also the dogs. This patched up a few worn spots perfectly. Super easy to apply. Extremely durable!! This is the second time I'm ordering it in a separate size because the product works so well the first time.
