Sizing requirements are deceptive

The contents of the items were correct. I like the label system although the marking pen you have to write gently and use the tip or else the letters are thicker, but it's fine. STURDINESS: make sure you grab container by all sides with your hands and not by a side of the lid because if you don't snap down all 4 sides of the lid you could spill contents. CAPACITY: my goal was to store the entire contents of a 5 pound, 80-ounce, 2.5 L (?) bag of (Bob's Red Mill) flour into one container. Nope; doesn't all fit. You'd have to use two containers to fit one of these full flour bags I mention. Anyone else have that "problem"? Of course not a problem in the scope of anything really. DIAMETER OF CONTAINER: this I like as I'll be able to scope easily from the container. OTHER USES: Stores powdered sugar and brown sugar nicely. I could see getting another set to use to transport soups and salads, etc., if we ever get to attend potlucks (written during pandemic), but if you're sending food to neighbors, perfect! FOR THE FRIG: I think a set of these would be great to store leftovers in.

I bought these to store dry goods in our new IKEA Kallax cubes. Unfortunately with the lids on they are not less than 6.5 inches (Kallax cubes are 13 tall and wide and 15 deep), so we couldn't get as many to fit as we had hoped. Other than that, they close easily and open with just the right amount of difficulty to avoid accidental opening but not so much you risk sending everything everywhere.

A fitting "dupe" for the old white lid OXO's

I have a set of the old OXO white lid containers and would've liked to buy more of them, but apparently the quality has really gone downhill and the lids no longer seal all the way. I scoured the internet for an acceptable replacement that I could purchase as a set. These won.
As you can see from the photo, they're approximately the same dimensions as the OXO's.
I hand washed everything so I can't speak to whether they hold up in the dishwasher. However, the packaging did say it is not recommended to put the lids in the dishwasher. For other food storage containers this might be an issue, but these will only be holding shelf-stable dry goods and won't have to be washed that often, so it's fine by me. The snap-on lids are sturdy, and not brittle like some cheaper plastics so I expect they'll hold up well.
They came with a few black sticker labels and a white "chalk" marker, if you're into that sort of thing.

It's always hard to tell if a plastic container will be what you hope from just a listing on Amazon, but I am really glad I took a chance on these. I have now purchased the set of 4 large containers as well as the set or 8 medium ones. Both sets exceeded my expectations. They are not terribly inexpensive so I hoped they would be comparable to the nicer Rubbermaid containers but they are so much better. The plastic is thick and sturdy and is not the hard plastic that will crack if dropped.
One of the things I really like is that the rubber seal comes out which is a game changer for cleaning and drying.
Two of the medium containers fit together on the shelf of our pantry. The large containers are plenty big for 5 lbs of flour, The medium would be great for sugar and brown sugar or about 3-4 bags of dry beans or rice.
I would definately buy again.
