I (easily!) filled these with the spices I use the most, and love having the ease of popping the cork and sprinkling without messing with lids and teeny holes that even after 8-10 hard shakes, you might get 1/4 of a tsp. This set is functional AND adorable. To fill, you COULD use a small funnel, but I just fold a piece of paper, pour in a few tbsp of the spice and it goes into the tube cleanly. Would be a shower great gift!
