Showing this table in comparison to an average type table. I prefer this one. The lift is smooth, the top is wider and shallower than others, which is much more useful than adding extra depth. Hope this makes sense. I also find it looks much nicer than the other ones. It is well made and rolls easily. I did see the review someone posted of one day after use with a laptop, but I must say that this item had to be improperly put together. You obviously cannot put heavy weight on one side of this item or it will break. It's not made for that. It's plenty sturdy enough for a laptop m, mouse, pad, and all of your pads/papers. Mine has stayed very level with daily use and I'm super clumsy.

Like the table but the wheels are not optimal for carpet.

Pros: Good height adjustment. Fits under home hospital bed and around Wheelchair.
Cons: Could not remove lock screw. Had to have wife's son remove with electric screw driver.
Expensive.

I ordered this accidentally when I was thinking about getting a hospital tray during my recovery. I was looking at this tray because I had surgery that requires recovery and bed rest for 6 weeks, and I hit buy it now instead of save for later. (A mistake that proved to be a good one).

It was easy to set up, and is easy to clean (as other reviewers stated). I was not sure what I was going to do with it once I recover, but it is so strong I know I will use it for my laptop. I already added the pop-phone holder for my phone on the metal bar so that my phone is within reach when I need it, but not on the table and easy to see the time.

I will say, that the description height is lower than it actually goes. It easily fits over my thick bedspread with room to share. When we measured the height after I realized I purchased it, it looked as though it would not fit. This is because our queen size bed height is higher that the 42 inches. After assembly it was more than high enough. We would not have purchased it if we saw that.

It does take up a little more room than I would like to give up (we live in a small cape cod), but it made life a lot easier during recovery. The wheels are smooth, which makes it easy to slide out of the way during the night and slide toward me when I need something that I stored on it. The top holds a lot: the hospital water pitcher fits perfectly into the round slot on the tray, my iPad, college books, plates and tissues box fit easily with room to spare. At one point I had two text books, food, water, remotes, a box of tissues, remote controls, a cup and cough drops on the tray with space for my iPad while I was surfing the internet. The tray is very strong. I lean on it all of the time and have not experienced any sagging.

I highly recommend purchasing this tray if you have to recover from surgery and/or you use a bed tray regularly.

This device was purchased for a family member who was sick. It was light enough for them to moves around from their bed but it was difficult for them to adjust the height without assistance. Helped with feeding and durable enough to use with a laptop.
