Some of these reviews describe these as thin, almost like one or two-time use, waterproof garb. I'm really happy with how thick the material is! True to size, very heavy-duty, waterproof material.

After inspecting this rainsuit by Rainwater I believe it will keep me very dry in a downpour. The material is 2 ply - nylon - outside layer, PVC - inside layer, but is very flexible, not stiff.
They always asks for reviews too early before you have had a chance to really use the product. My observations though are that the sleeves are long enough and have interior elastic cuffs that keep rain out and keep it from running down your arm if you have to work or load something above your shoulders - great feature. The material is solid and strong and will withstand wind as well but will not breath well even with a few small vents built in. I have had other more expensive brands that claim to be breathable and not make you sweat but none have lived up to that claim. The most important thing is that you stay dry especially in low temps. The jacket has 2 large flap pockets and accessible even with gloves on. I would say that this suit is best sized to fit men or large women. Also, if you wish to store the suit in your vehicle as I do, I would store it in as cool and 'out of direct sunlight' a place as possible. I have found in the past that even with doing that the material will lose it's ability to repel water and leak directly through after 5-7 years due to heat. I gave it 5 stars b/c I couldn't find anything negative about it so far. Male reviewer.
