I normally wear a 1x in Women's. I went ahead and ordered a size up like the reviews said, and it was perfect! I would say, if you are more on the taller or heavier end, I would go up at least 1 size. If I was to get that 1x, most likely it would've been TOO SMALL.

As far as the fit in the midsection it was just about right. I could've easily gotten away with an XL if my torso wasn't as long.
