Can just drop it in -- but not plug it in

Love this unit even more than my previous Ramblewood electric, since it has no knobs to clean. Controls are easy to use. The previous version came with a plug, and this one does not, however. Even though I knew it in advance, having a professional do it (I am not handy) cost as much as the cooktop.
nice product

We love it! It's very easy to use and love how flat it is to the counter. The child safety lock is weird. The power needs to be on to have the lock on, but to turn the lock off, you just need to turn the power off. It doesn't work the way the instructions say it ought to. So, I do have to watch not to bump it when I've got my cutting board out or working over it for non cooking.
