I am from Texas; we recently had record weather extremes including extremes in low temperatures and snowfall. While this greenhouse was a great value for money, we found out why! I love growing plants, and this was my dream purchase. However, at a time when low, low temperatures and record snowfall happened, the frame of my greenhouse collapsed under the ice & snow. Now, I had plants in there that survived, and thrived, and I had it all set up again until yesterday when a cold front blew in! That poor greenhouse was blowing in the wind when we got home from church! There was a piece of the metal frame sticking out of the plastic at the top. The frame was leaning, and my husband and I put it back together the best we could last night. I woke up to slighter less wind this morning fully expecting it to be either gone or collapsed. It's still standing, but the frame is leaning again! And the cold wind just keeps on blowing. I just was very disappointed in the quality because I bought this because it has a steel frame. It's now patched together and I probably will have to buy a new frame for it. As far as working as a greenhouse, it's fantastic! But design flaws are why I had to rate this greenhouse lower.

Needed a bigger greenhouse so this one came up and we got it. Assembly was pretty straight forward but it sags no matter how tight you pull the securing lines.

I just needed something to shield my plants from the cold and keep humidity in. I put this up in a couple hours with my crazy 5 year old. I didn't need to fortify it like others mentioned, but it could be sturdier and taller. The zipper isn't too bad. I wish it had a ventilation window in the rear. Overall pretty good for Southern California, but I pull it back halfway in the summer.
Great for a fast solution, and they ain't kidding about wind!

The instructions leave a bit to be desired, but if you have an engineering mind you can figure it out. The metal frame is sturdy and, since it's metal, you don't have to worry about PVS "out-gassing" and burning up your plastic. The frame is surprisingly sturdy. It has handled 2 4" snows without sagging or bending. The zipper doors are a little fragile, especially if the wind has stretched the plastic funny and there is a lot of tension on the zippers. I thought giant (24" long 1/2" rebar) tent stakes on each corner would anchor the thing adequately. That would have likely been true until the third hurricane remnant in a month came through and the saturated ground let go. The ground was not just saturated- there was 6" of standing water from the nearby river flooding. That's not the fault of the product.
The very sturdy frame was only mildly bent, but the plastic cover was ripped beyond repair. While it took two people to build it originally, I was able to roll the frame onto it's top and skid it 100' back to it's place and roll it over by myself. I'm recovering it with actual greenhouse plastic. The old cover makes a nice cover for my tractor so nothing is wasted. I have bought 8 "screw" anchors (smaller versions of what ties down mobile homes) and trust it will stay put this time. I'm also framing a hinged door out of 2x4s and will stake 2x4s all around the bottom to secure the new plastic. Except for the zippers, this is a great solution.
