We unexpectedly had more people over for an event than we had formal place settings for - we order this set as to have as to have all matching and they worked out perfectly.
The plates & cups are very strong - a few of the forks broke as people were using them so careful of how much pressure you out on them. I suggest buying an extra set of just forks knives and spoons of the same color just in case.
