Got a set of these brakes from another seller on Dec 2022. The rear had a slow leak and lost enough hydraulic fluid that l couldn't stop at all by May 2023. I thought at first that the brake rotor or brake pads had gotten some chain lube, cleaned both with 90% isopropanol and bedded the brakes afterwards. There was a slight improvement but it didn't last.

I used a flashlight to inspect the rear caliper and the boot covering the piston was wet with hydraulic fluid. There's a YouTube video that shows how to add more hydraulic fluid but I couldn't find one that shows how to rebuild the piston. The replacement was cheap and considering how critical it is, it wasn't worth trying to fix the leaking caliper.

Dropped in the replacement caliper with no issues and it works as it should. The front caliper has been doing its job since it was first installed. I'll know what to look for when I start losing braking power instead of thinking that it was a contaminated pad/brake rotor.

I used compressionless brake housing to eliminate any sponginess on both brakes when pulling on an old set of Avid Speed Dial brake levers.

I used this kit to upgrade the brakes on my Varla Pegasus scooter to hydraulic. It's a bit of an involved process on the Pegasus because the rear cable runs down through the deck of the scooter itself. But the kit was absolutely fantastic - the cables were long enough, fluid filled already so I didn't even have to bleed them, and the end result is a much more solid feeling scooter. Just make sure you get the right variation for your scooter and these should be a good upgrade!

I put these on an ebike that has brake lines in under 5 minutes; they work great. The even pressure from both pistons gives me a smooth stop, and no more screeching noise!

The brakes that come with the Sondors Fold X are not sufficient. Multiple occasions of not being able to stop in a reasonable distance. These did the trick, but I must admit, there was squeal at the end of braking (last few feet), so I got some different pads and it solved that problem. Great value. Love these brakes!!!

Bought this to replace a mechanical brake on an eBike using the existing handle and cables. If you are buying this you probably already do your own work on bikes. If you don't already have experience, make sure you take your time and have patience. Take pictures of everything (the existing brake and how it is connected, how it is mounted to bike frame) before you start working.

The installation itself is not difficult. Once installed you will need to make adjustments to ensure the pads are not rubbing against the disk. This is best done using a bike stand to allow the wheels to spin freely while you watch, listen and adjust.

Once installed, this brake has been a great improvement over the originally installed mechanical brake.
