Great material

So, I work in the service industry and have had my knives with me for years, so, yes eventually would need to replace my knife bag. I've always loved oiled look of the roll bags so I thought I'd not only get a new one but a bigger one because I purchased more knives. This one has a lot of knife pockets and the side zipper pocket for my knife glove, pens or the edge/point covers that I got with a knife. I'd usually only have an 8" chef's knife, 10" Wide chef's knife and my sharpening steel because all I've ever really needed. Usually. Now, I use a paring knife, a straight 10" salmon knife and a filleting knife, plus kitchen shears. So I needed a lot of pockets, which is what I got, just not how I wanted them. Don't get me wrong,I have more pockets then knives which is good but with my wide chef's knife I have nowhere to put it now. The pockets allow ease of storage and access for all of my other knives but not by 10" Wide chefs knife. If I put it in a pocket I'd either slice try the stitching and make a bigger slot then I'd need or the handle would be sticking up and the inner handle cover would be pointless and so would the knife roll-bag. Now I'm less one knife but still happy. It's a good quality roll-bag for knife, just be aware that if you keep your knives super sharp, and who wants a dull blade, you night possibly puncture the exterior abs ends up either cutting yourself or stab yourself accidentally. Not fun at all, but still a great bag and bang for your buck

For less than $25 I bought this as a spur of the moment since I was traveling for vacation and wanted to take some of my knives with me. I was surprised at how robust this was, clearly has room for many knives. Includes a number of tip covers which did have the tendency to come off in transit, but my knives were chip free. Cannot speak to long-term durability, but there was no damage to the canvas bag throughout the trip, so I suspect as long as it's not been excessively abused it should last for many years. It comes with a shoulder strap as well which is a bonus for carrying. The latches on the straps allow it to be tightened down nicely and feels very secure. When unrolling, there was no movement of my knives or the honing steel that I had also put in there. Overall it seems like a great value and recommended if you need an inexpensive but functional knife roll.
