This was a very satisfying purchase!
I ordered this item twice from another company that was $5 cheaper on Amazon. Each time the package arrived the corners of the tank were bent and paint cracked off at the bend. Huge waste of my time and repackaging and returns.
Installation was simple and size was an exact match to my old tank that was rusted I. This interior. I have not yet actually put gasoline in it or used the petcock.
I'm hopeful this all works out.

I purchased this tank as a replacement for my Predator 7000/8750 model 86525 generator. It arrived in perfect condition but missing the screws to attach to fuel gauge to the tank. The seller was responsive to my request for the screws and actually sent out an entire accessories pack (strainer, gas cap, bushings, fuel gauge and screws). The screws sent were to small in diameter to use which was disappointing. The seller offered a partial refund to get the screws locally. I did find the screws locally at Fastenal size (M6-1.0 bevel head/6mm). The tank fit perfectly.

I needed a replacement for my old tractor's gas tank, and the 7-gallon square shaped tank fit well. Description has precise mounting holes dimensions and other data, all good and true. Note that the bottom is not even and flat, by design, it is shallow on one side. Also, the fuel gauge that comes with it is not an electric sender, just a float with a plastic window. That plastic window is very weak and easily broke when I tightened mounting bolts. The float - made of two halves glued together - leaked and sank when I filled the tank with gas, so I had to replace it with a cork. Overall, it is a good tank for a fair price, and if you are buying it for direct replacement - there should be no problem (careful with the bolts and have a cork handy), if for a DIY project, like mine - it is a fair deal.
Worked better than many of the reviews lead me to believe it would!

My 25 year old generator had a plastic one gallon tank that has weathered many uses after hurricanes. My generator will run for 3 hours on one gallon, which meant fueling it in the middle of the night when the power is out. When the old tank cracked, I found this one on line. It is very sturdily constructed, and the float is accurate. Since it holds 7 gallons, I didn't have to refill it but every 21 hours after Hurricane Zeta (a month after I purchased it). Very happy with this product!
