Keeps coffee hot for hours

I bought this for my Dad for xmas. He Loves it! he makes a pot of coffee in the morning and pours it into the canister and can turn his coffee pot off and still have HOT coffee hours later. and he likes it because it has a wide mouth so it's easy to clean especially with the brush that came with it.

I tested this product out with both hot and cold drinks. The hot coffee was hot and still steaming after several hours in the thermos, but 24 hours later was not hot enough to drink. It was lukewarm at best. So if you are buying it for parties (like I did) or to take to the park, it should work great. If you want it to keep something overnight, you would be wise to fill it as late as possible to have it still hot in the morning.
The cold test was similar, but totally fine for this particular test. I put ice-water in the first thing in the morning. There was still ice that night, but the next morning ice was gone and water was still cool.
I love that they sent a cleaning brush with this item, however the handle is much to SHORT and it spins (why?) around, making it almost impossible to use. The opening is small (I am sure to keep the liquid hot longer), but it makes it very difficult to clean. If they really want to help make it easier to clean they will find a longer handled brush to send with the thermos.
Overall, I recommend the thermos, but I would not buy another one unless I could clean it easier.

Overall I like this Air Pot, it kept my water cool more than 24 hours (after 27 hours water was still cool). It is attractive and although not hard to clean it's a bit bulky/awkward to maneuver when cleaning. I found it awkward to use if moving it from one room to another. The lever locks in the open position,to move the pot you have to press the lever down, (liquid will be dispensed) then hold the lever down while pressing the lock feature (handle will not raise in open position). I found this would be easier with 3 hands, (I could not hold the cup, depress the lever and push the lock at the same time.) I have not tried hot liquid yet as I drink water but not large amounts of hot liquids, might be good for company though. I am not sure the plastic will hold up over time as it seems a bit flimsy but will update if it does. It swivels, again not sure about the quality of the plastic. I had some difficulty removing the top, the buttons were easy to squeeze, but the back part you squeeze to remove the top was hard to squeeze. I will probably stick to using it for water.

I had to camp for a weekend during late fall and needed hot water on tap for hot drinks and instant soups or broths... oatmeal etc. This airpot kept the water *hot* and steamy for 15 hours, and good and warm for the following five. It was outside in cold weather though, so maybe inside it would stay hot and steaming for the full 20. I was extremely happy to have it and as I only keep water in it, it's a cinch to clean.
