Bought one 9 months ago to repel cats from urinating in front of house. Worked perfectly. I recently lost my charging cable & company is sending one free. I now have raccoon problems in rear of house so I bought a second one after testing. I saw raccoons scatter on my security camera.
I can't say the solar charger works. Mine is under cover so I've always recharged inside every couple days. After a while it doesn't hurt to miss a day or two, cats seem to still stay away. After a few days they return. I can't hear the sound but others can & it appears to be annoying to them. Girl Scout never came back LOL. You need to turn it off in daytime if that's a problem so charging inside not a problem. I've not used it as "set and forget" so can't say that would work (solar charger). Even If solar doesn't work it's better than other less humane ways of dealing with nuisance animals.

I was skeptical, but this works ! I had a rat who was persistent in making its home in my backyard. I didn't want to kill it or put rat poison out since I have dogs so, I thought I'd give this a try . I turn it on at night when my dogs are no longer going outside . Haven't seen the rat anymore !! I'm going to buy one for the other side of the yard

I was excited to get this item and I ordered 3 To keep The dogs out in the yard. Put it out an set it to the dog setting. Two hours later a cop was knocking on my door. He said the sound was to loud and was bothering the neighbors. I pulled them up and I will call them- the cops from now on when the neighbors dog poops in my yard! ( Leash law and all.) I will give my sister the alarms to help with her animal problem, she live in the wild with no neighbors.

This really works to keep cats and raccoons away. I haven't had and surprises left in my planter boxes or lawn. It doesn't keep my dog away or squirrels. I can deal with that though. It's the neighborhood cats and their nasty fowl crap I can't stand. This sensor alarm has worked for me now for a year. I keep buying them for different areas of my yards.
