Good value and does the trick, but the spikes are a tad bit sharp.. honestly I feel that one test by your kitty is enough to put them off as long as they can see these laying around.

I have a small nursery of potted fruit trees and flowers. Since they are potted, the neighborhood cats think that they are litter boxes. Cat poop is extremely toxic to plants, and cats have minds of their own, so I needed something inconspicuous and humane to prevent them from going into my pots.
These spikes do help keep cats from going into my trees and flowers. However, I make sure as much of the topsoil is covered as possible because depending on how much open space there is, the cat will still dig, which even without pooping can damage the plant. I also sprinkle a generous amount cinnamon powder on the topsoil after placing the spikes to further discourage cats from going near my plants. Cinnamon is not only a deterrent to cats, it also repels ants, and prevents fungal infections and/or mold from developing.
Overall, I don't regret buying these because now I know my plants have some decent protection from cats in my neighborhood.

We have an aggressive feral cat in our neighborhood who likes to terrorize our indoor cats when he prowls around and sees them through the window sitting or sleeping next to the sliding glass door. Whether the glass door is shut or whether it's open with just the screen door shut, this cat will lunge his body hard against the door or the screen at my cats. Sometimes he comes around at 3am for an attack, which wakes us all up in a most unsettling fashion. We can't open the door for fresh air while we sleep thanks to this fellow.
So we got these spiky mats, and we put 2 rows of them in front of each of our 2 screen doors. The cat no longer lunges and attacks at the doors, but he DOES poop on top of the spikes. I guess that's fine.
