I will use this over a soft sheet and handmade quilt, and will keep it folded at the bottom of the bed during the day time, so it is perfect for me. However if you want a very soft sheet next to you, this does not have an extremely soft finish as the description says. It does look like it will last well. It is more of a homespun muslin feel, not a soft precale. It does not have a satiny sheen. Looks great with my handmade quilt. For the price it is a good deal at almost $30 less than other similar duvets. The zipper seems well sewn in, and I like that better than the buttons the one I am replacing had. If it closes with buttons the comforter is always poking out between the buttons. The zipper neatly contains the down comforter. All in all I'm very satisfied with it, and I would recommend the purchase. The pillow cases have an extra piece that closes the ends and can be used as shams.

This duvet cover appears to be of good quality and is easy to use with my down-alternative comforter, but I'm not a fan of the pillow covers. I've washed the sheets twice now, but I still don't want my face against that material. It's pretty stiff still and rough against softer skin. It does work fine as just the comforter though as long as you use a sheet between it and you.
One personal bummer that I won't be reflecting in the overall rating is that I ordered a cream/white one and it clings to my black cat's fur far worse than any other blanket or comforter I have. I washed it last Sunday and by Wednesday with him regularly sleeping with me, it was damn near covered. I'm going to get a different color, but I won't be rebuying this line again.

I am incredibly particular when it comes to choosing my bedding. I was looking for the perfect color, weight/material, and preferably a zipper closure. I was thrilled to find this set on sale and I'm happy to say that the color matches the photos very well so it's exactly what I wanted. The material stays nearly wrinkle-free and I love the cozy texture it brings to my bedroom. It's also a nice, breathable cotton fabric. And the fact that it's made with a zipper closure which makes changing my duvet a much speedier process is the cherry on top!
