Good value. Easy to use once understood.

Looks nice and once I was able to figure out how to use it despite the poor directions, it is pretty simple to use and easy to understand. But it did take some playing with it to figure out how to set everything. It seems to give a reliable serving amount. If using flake food, the flakes cannot be too large or they will not fit into the scooper. Feeding small pellets or small crumbles (like bug bites) with various sizes, the portion control is a little hard to work with. Seems to be too small or too big. I believe the best way to deal with it is to opt for smaller portions, but allow the unit to rotate more times, which is a nice option. The mounting is a bit flimsy. If it were mounted using the clamp on a rimless glass tank, it would be fine I'm sure. However, the clamp does not allow secure mounting on a tank that has a rim around the top meant to hold a glass lid. Also, on older rimmed tanks (like my Oceanic), the clamp JUST barely fits. I had to open it up all the way and force it down a bit to get it to go on. And with it being quite flimsy, I'm afraid it will break.
I haven't had it long so I can't comment on reliability or longevity yet. But I already have concerns. The buttons are the type that are covered by seamless flexible plastic. They look great and function well for now. But my experience with those types of buttons is that over time as the plastic becomes less flexible, they will crack and break. As mentioned above, the clamp is flimsy. I fully expect that to be the first thing to break, especially if this feeder is removed or re-positioned frequently. The feed cup is simply a press fit. It's hard plastic on soft plastic. Guaranteed this will wear out and unfortunately this soft plastic piece between the hard plastic feeder cup, and the hard plastic motor unit is essentially what is holding the feeder cup ON to the motor. So if that wears out, the whole feeder cup could fall in the water. NOT good. As I said, this has not happened yet as I just got the unit. But it is a major concern. If that were to happen while on vacation, that would be a tank killing event.

Moisture Proof, Not Water Proof

This feeder worked well. It was easy to use, and easy to adjust the portion size to my needs. Unfortunately, when moving the hood to clean the tank, it fell in the water. It was fully immersed for maybe 10 seconds. It is now dead. I understand that electronics and water do not mix, but it seems to me that anything designed for a fish tank should withstand water better than that. However, I would buy another one. Without the extenuating circumstance, it worked well.

Pros- this feeder has a USB cable to keep the internal battery charged. Don't have to worry about battery's dying while I'm on vacation. I like that it has up to four different feeding times per day, many other feeders out there only give you every 12 hour or every 24 hour options. Plus you can set the exact time to the minute. It's dependable, I have now purchased three of these.
Con- It's a lot of button pushing to get the thing programmed, but it's not difficult.
