I've installed a lot of doors over the years using the traditional method of shimming the hinge side jamb and then trying to wrestle the door in place while keeping it at the right height. This is way easier... clamp the door in the Door Stud, wheel it into the jamb and set it plumb (I use my laser shining against the jamb edge). Then just screw in the brackets and you're off to the next door.
It's so easy I was able to take 2 guys who didn't know how to set doors and they were setting doors professionally after showing them how to do it.

This Door Stud kit was really great. I love the concept, once leveled, the doors rolled and were easily hung, and of course the wear and tear on the body was greatly reduced. I'll definitely use them or buy them again.
But I have to give 4 stars as the leveling screws were a bit difficult. One of the pair was great, no issues, but the other had bad screws and didn't move very easily. The threads seemed to be a little damaged from the get go. We lubricated them, and that helped a little, but in the end, the threads were too far out to move easily. After hanging a hundred commercial doors or so, it was a bit of a chore to level the one and it just became super annoying.
Again, I'd use these again in a heartbeat, and it's a great product, but they need better screw threads.

I've bought a heavy door installation unit for home renovation. I have a few very heavy metal doors (about 30 kg each), with this tool I removed and hung back these doors alone without extra efforts. It is very easy to adjust the height to align door properly.
It does make big difference when setting doors.
