Sturdy but not the strongest

I was worried this would be low quality. But it turned out it is a mid quality harness which is good. If you have a heavy puller and/or heavy digital would get a stronger heavy duty harness but for a mid sized wmoderate to low pulling dog this would be great. Some of the buckles are hard to adjust. There are 4. 2 are very hard the other 2 are ok. The pull handle on top I heard some threads popping when I used it to hold my dog when she tries to chase cars it didn't rip but it's clear this won't hold up to that kind of stuff for long.
Secure fit handy handle!

Our Schipperke mix could quickly, easily, and dangerously slip out of his previous other-brand harness so I got this one in hopes that he would not be able to slip out of it (when scared by trucks, etc.). We've been using it for a few months and it's been performing flawlessly in that regard. Despite his attempts he cannot slip out of this harness. It's a bit bulky on such a small dog but fits securely and feels very durable. It's easy to get on and off. Not so easy to adjust but I got it done. He does slip a leg out when he curls his legs in to nap so it requires an occasional adjustment when we leave it on him in the house or car. This may be avoided if we tightened it up a bit but I like a looser comfy fit so I haven't tightened it up. I wish the reflective material "popped" more in the dark when light shines on it. Very satisfied. Thank you!

It was a little big for my girl but appears to be as advertised. I'm sure I will be happy once I get to use it.
So easy to get on AND no more pulling

I bought this neon green Harness and Leash set-up back in May 2023. The previous set-up we were using had to have it's fitting readjusted nearly ever use. (SO ANNOYING!) My dog Allie would back away when it was time to put the harness on, but she LOVES going out for walks. She no longer backs away from the Harness donning process after the first time trying out this new harness/leash set-up. Allie walks up to the harness and assists with paws up at a time to don harness. Allie is well trained for leash walking and doesn't normally pull... HOWEVER when out walking and exposed to noises from: lightening, distance gun fire (out in country), lawn mowers, weed-eaters, doors slamming unexpectedly, xtra loud autos... she nearly yanks me off my feet instantly running for home direction. This harness has the "No Pull" leash ring attachment on the front of the harness that has completely stopped her from pulling me off balance. I attach the leash on the top of the harness daily regularly, but if I know there is a chance of any loud noises (storms coming in, any dang holiday now has fireworks, lawn services in our community) I use the lower in front no pull ring. During a walk, I can readily switch leash attachment location by holding on to the harness handle on her back area. Also that handle on the back of the harness has saved her from dog attacks, with me readily being able to grab the handle and swing-lift her up to my neck height. Love the reflector threads on the harness and the leash - easy to see her when headlights flash on her harness/leash. I've had so many compliments from strangers asking where I got this set-up. It is extremely durable and still looks and functions like brand new. .
The Perfect Harness

The media could not be loaded. I scoured Amazon and read a lot of reviews before choosing to buy this harness for my black lab pup who, at the time, was about 6 months old. (She's now 8 months at the time of recording the video.)

This harness has a good width and ample padding so it doesn't dig into my dog's body. I just slide it over her head, click the buckle in on each side, and she's ready to go! (Just remember, the ThinkPet logo goes on top. My husband once tried putting it on the dog upside-down and it was ridiculous. But wait, it gets better...)

Note that there's a red clip on each buckle so you can LOCK them closed. The buckles are high-quality and I don't know why they'd need locking mechanisms, but they're there. (I think they might be for strapping your dog into a car seat--I don't have a car seat and I'd never strap my dog inside one, so I just ignore the sliding red locks.) HOWEVER, the red locks CAN accidentally slide into the locked position, and if you have a squirrelly hyper pup (like mine was at first), you might panic and think your fur baby is trapped inside the harness FOREVER. (I once walked into the kitchen and found my husband with the harness on the dog proper-side up, but he had a steak knife and was ready to RESCUE THE DOG FROM THE HARNESS. Seriously.)

I pounced and wailed something like, "Stop! I just bought that!"

I took away the knife and showed him that the buckles have red sliding locks that, with a gentle nudge, can allow a human to unlock and open the buckles with ease.

In addition to the fact that this harness looks quite comfortable compared to others, I liked the fact that it has a hook for a leash on the chest as well as the back. My pup was dragging me along as she choked herself to death when walking with just a collar. A harness with a chest-hook would supposedly get my dog to turn around and stop dragging me. (This DID NOT work for my dog! When the leash was attached to the front hook, she whirled around like a Tasmanian devil and played tug-of-war with the leash, dragging me down a mountain. I reattached the leash to the BACK hook and had much better results: she faced forward while dragging me along, but the important thing is that she wasn't going to choke and hurt herself.)

END GAME: This harness is fantastic if you put it on your dog correctly and understand how to use buckles! Puppies and dogs need to be trained to walk on a leash, and I'm a firm believer in using a harness to accomplish this. It's not going to allow a pet to choke and possibly damage their windpipe when they pull. (And I've never seen a puppy that didn't excitedly try to drag their human along on an adventure!)

My lab has ran, rolled around in, and swam in this harness. It has survived many adventures with dirt and mud, and even though I've never washed it, it's remained mysteriously clean and odor-free.

Finally, the reflective strips that go around the trim of the harness work great to keep my dog safe when walking in the dark. The gleam of light that comes off of the harness has helped me locate my girl when she's running wild during the night.

If you're looking for a high-quality harness that's comfortable, easy-to-use, looks great, and can handle the adventures of a rough and tumble dog (or a demure fluff ball), this is a great choice! If my lab outgrows this one, I'm not going to buy anything other than the next size up in this exact same style of a ThinkPet harness.
