I purchased this antenna for my black Miata based on the reviews. It works great, took less than a minute to screw on, and looks great! It replaced the original antenna my Miata came with that was shredded to pieces. Great buy! Radio reception works well!

Although the factory antenna on my 2019 MX-5 roadster wasn't actually bothering me visually, a $17 'mod' is hard to pass up. Now that I have it installed, the visual improvement is REALLY noticeable! My car is white pearl with the optional brown soft top, and with the top down, this stubby completes the look I didn't know I wanted. I think the difference wouldn't be as dramatic on a darker exterior color.

As a bonus, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and heft of it when I took it out of the package, and also saw the copper threads. Nicely finished with no rough edges; higher quality than the price would suggest. The factory one is all rubbery and weight 44.5 grams; this one is all metal and weight 57.5 grams. I couldn't say about better or worse radio reception, since I only use a flash drive for entertainment. The other nice thing is it doesn't have any writing on it, unlike at least one of the popular aftermarket brands. I don't like giving free advertising, nor cluttering up my hard-earned roadster.

Really is screw on/off. Installed almost a month. Nothing untoward. Each time I spray on ceramic quick detailer after car wash, I also apply to this antenna. Hopefully that would help make the finish long-lasting.

Here we are in Sept 2023, the tip of the antenna starts to decolor (losing its matte black finish) with the color turning to a very light grey, almost transparent look. It doesn't bother me much as it can be misconstrued as sun light reflection. But the rapid decolorization has left something to be desired.

This has been an awesome replacement for a old broken antenna on my 2010 MX5. The installation was a snap after twisting off the old antenna and tightening on the new one there was nothing else to do but enjoy the sleek look added to the car!

Great product, as described, works well!

As a replacement to a cracked OEM antenna...this one fits well to my MX5. It installs in a minute and looks great. Immediately prior to replacement, my OEM antenna received 29 FM stations, and this stubby antenna pulled in 19. I suspect it's the physics of radio waves and size of antenna issue. Yes, it pulls in fewer radio stations--but I don't use the radio--and this stubby antenna looks better and appears to be more durable. I'll keep it.
