Am using these for multiple luncheons, dessert bar, etc. where typically people buy paper plates and plastic ware and just throw them away. Thought I would try these, and then try hand-washing them - and washing them by hand worked great! I don't know about dishwashing - probably wouldn't try. The only thing is that the silverware (gold-colored) has ridges on the back that make them a little harder to wash. Might try just using clear plastic silverware, as those are easier to wash. But so far, the trim on the plates and the surfaces have held up through a few hand-washings just fine. Will continue to use them.
