I work in the pool business and me and my two teammates love this hat. Sun or rain it has made or day on the days we need it. It does getting some use to because you forget how close you are to other people or walking thru a gate. But definitely worth the price.

OK, this was a crazy purchase, but I think it's actually going to work quite well. I have had two bouts with skin cancer, but still want to be able to enjoy going to the lake or the ocean, and need more protection than a regular hat can provide. A lot of times the hats get wet and they don't hold their form so they don't provide a lot of protection. Even though this looks a little strange to be wearing out and about in the water, I think it'll serve a really good purpose. It was pretty easy to open. It's sort of like an umbrella and you just have to make sure that that little white/clear piece from the inside goes all the way through the top small opening of the "umbrella like covering" and it'll lock in place. To get it to "deflate", you just press the little clear/white button on the top of the umbrella and it'll go back down through the hole and will deflate per see. It can get wet with the waves and hold it form and provide significant sun protection. The only thing I think they can improve upon would be making the hat portion inside adjustable as it's a bit too big for me.

The media could not be loaded. So I bought this for my husband who mows the lawn 3-4 a week. When he's finished, he looks had it from the sun.
