This is a great av receiver has fantastic sound and functions are easy to figure out. Many sound modes to choose from for your listening pleasure. Love the 2 subwoofer outputs, gave me a reason to use a spare sub I had lying around. This is my first Onkyo AV receiver and am very impressed with it so far. Would definitely recommend.
Denon Disappointed, Onkyo Did Not!

I have a great speaker from Denon and ended up checking on their website which had a few specials - one on a refurbished receiver. I thought, well, I like their speaker and the receiver is a good price...so I ordered it. When I received it, it worked for a little less than THREE HOURS before is simply refused to turn on. Returned it and started looking for a receiver that was similarly placed and this Onkyo was my choice. I got it set up in no time and after setting up the surround sound speakers to work with it, I turned on the TV and it has been working like a champ since. Sounds great, easy to set up and is exactly what I wanted. I may not be able to afford a hugely expensive home theater system, but for my price point, this receiver is an excellent choice. I paired it with a Klipsch surround sound set of speakers. Together they make it a pleasure to watch a movie, especially a musical!

This is my 1st home theatre receiver and I love it, it was very easy to set up, sound is great, radio reception works great as well. I have hooked up Klipsch reference theatre speakers, blu ray player and a turn table as well. If you are looking for a receiver be it your 1st or a replacement this would be a great choice in my opinion. Shipping was fast and it was packaged very well.
Difficult to set up

No owner's manual comes with the receiver. I had to get the manual off the internet. The manual is 94 pages long. Difficult to understand. I bought this receiver to listen to music not to hook up to my TV. A TV is needed to set up the receiver and speakers. After spending 2 weeks trying to get everything set up, I gave up and hired an audio technician to set up everything. I am pleased now. The sound is great.
