I put this brackets 16" apart on stud. Two screws for each bracket. I hang my weight vest that is kind of heavy to manage or prevent osteoporosis for me. I put on & take off several times a day, each time I hang vest over the two brackets installed spaced 16'" apart It worked out great! Very practical & dependable, I really like!
Sturdy and lightweight

Very easy to install. I had to ream the holes to use bigger screws.
Convenient, strong enough

I use pairs of these to hold long objects out of the rain next to the wall of the shed under the eaves. I also use them inside a shipping container repurposed for storage. On the former, I use Phillips head drywall screws and a screwdriver bit in an electric drill to mount them. It's very quick once I decide where I want it. On the latter, I use 10-32 or M5 bolts. It's easier if one person holds the nut and lockwasher while the other tightens it on the inside. A dab of caulk seals the hole.
Great Product

These things are great. Fantastic value for the money. I mounted a board in my shed wall and just mounted these to it, where they were needed. I didn't feel like paying $80-$150 on one of those slide track systems. This looks great. I will say tho...if you want to hang a ladder lengthwise with two hooks, you need to buy the 12" hooks because the 10" ones won't be long enough.
It holds the ladder well
