My babies have large heads . . . and these hats are definitely NOT for babies. They fit toddlers with big heads, or medium/small headed young children. However, they are pretty soft. The pattern wasn't very distinguished . . . it looks like the hats had been washed many times prior to arrival (the yarn was matted making it look more like a solid hat instead of one with a pattern). But, they are still pretty cute, and should work.
