good value, works to 300 yards

I have not used this product a lot because winter hit and the shooting has stopped, but...
I did test it out at 100, 200, and 300 yards. Does great out to 200 and does quite well at 300 yards. I can see 556 holes on a Birchwood Casey black repairable target at 200 yards; had a little difficulty at 300 yards but the target was well used and a little scuffed up. I also posted a used black and white 9mm target at 300 yards and could see those holes clearly. I think it will work at 300 yards with a less used Birchwood Casey, and I'm quite sure I'll be able to see 556 holes on a black and white target.

The tripod that comes with it a more than adequate.

Bottom line is that it does what I need it to do at a very good price.
Quality is better than I expected!

I'm not a pup any more so let me say first, my eyes are failing. My poor vision is the reason I wanted a lot of magnification in a spotting scope. But one of the negatives about having a lot of magnification is, eye relief typcally suffers. That's certainly true in this instance. Notcible at 20x, the eye relief issue becomes pretty severe as magnification is increased. At 60X, your eye placement is critical.
A bigger issue for me is the Zoom adjustment. It's ridiculous. It is absolutely impossible to change the magnification on this scope while ceeping it on target. In fact, If you don't have both hands holding the scope when you try to change magnification, it will turn the tripod over.
Speaking of Tripods, the one that comes with the scope is about one notch above being total junk. The stamped metal legs are so thin, they flex when folding them to stow or deploy thetripod. Tme footpring is so small, the forward weight of the scope makes the tripod want to turn ovet and, the scope wants to point to the floor. Locking the tripod down enough to prevent the scope from sagging also locks the tripod preventing it from panning. So, if yoyget on target and adjust the zoom, the entire assembly moves off target and you must start over to acquire the target.
I'm fortunate that I have a pair of tripods intended for video cameras. but the ridiculously tight zoom adjustment I mentioned still moves everything off target even on the large tripods.
Excellent spotting scope at a superb price.

Excellent scope for spotting shots at the range up to 200 yards. Haven't tried it at longer distances.
