To my surprise the item was received quickly and was very well packaged, not a dent in the can, full almost to the tippy top and there was a sample package in there too!! Well done!! Freeze Dried Mushrooms -- Excellent Product

These freeze-dried mushrooms are wonderful. I don't know if I needed to, but I rehydrated them for a couple minutes by putting them in water while I got out a pan and eggs. Then I quickly drained and added them to the eggs I was scrambling. They were delicious and tasted just like fresh. I even tried a piece without cooking it to see if if tasted like fresh and it was very good. I love the idea of having mushrooms in my food storage as I use them in numerous recipes. Considering the cost of fresh mushrooms and their short shelf life, and the increasing difficulty of finding some in the store that aren't already borderline too old, I feel these are a great way to go. I will definitely buy them again, both for regular use and for long-term storage.
The people of the Irish Potato Famine would appreciate this.

Hoping we only eat it because the best-by date is coming due. The sampler packet was boiled as per the instructions. Nice with a little salt. Thinking I would re-hydrate, then toss in a little oil with peppers from the survival garden for an amazing hash brown dish!
