This is the perfect punch bowl for a large group. It comes with a ladle and both are packaged in bubble wrap and in a sturdy box. The bowl is made of a thick hard plastic and is sturdy. The chrome base comes attached and is even. The plastic piece holding it to the bowl is shorter then the base and does not poke into anything. Now the base does turn, but doesn't come apart. It is easy to clean.
I do feel that it is a little over priced for plastic, but it is big.
The bowl has a 14" diameter at the top and tapers down to roughly 6" in the bottom, the base is roughly 1 1/2 " high and the outside of the bowl top to bottom is roughly 7 " high.
I put a 2 liter bottle of Sprite, 64 ounces of White Cranberry Juice, 1 gallon of Berry Blue Typhoon Hawaiian Punch and 2 quarts of Sherbet in it and still had some room left.
