The scents are exactly what you paid for✓ Verified Purchase•August 21, 2023
The media could not be loaded. I'm going to write the type of review I'd want because y'all deserve a description review so let's do this! First of all I know people might not like sickly sweet scents but if you do Child this is the oil of ya dang dreams!
Ok legit though let's start off with my favorite one out of the duo the strawberry, this strawberry is exactly the one I have been waiting for potent, sweet, smells exactly like strawberry jello, it's what I would imagine those strawberry candies that come in the metallic twist packaging that has the red bottom and green top, melted down, true strawberry! I love this one the most because I'm a fiend for anything that smells just straight that one scent.
Now on to the watermelooone, this one smells exactly how the jolly rancher watermelon candy. It's so sugar sweet but it also go that refreshing burst of scent that comes with the crispness of the actual fruit, it's a great representation of this scent. This will be the back up for the strawberry when she runs out cause I'm just more biased towards the strawberry that's completely the only reason.
Now to the wear-ability and all that jazz, I'd say lasting power would be up to 4 to 5 hours. Ill give you a depiction I wore this to a dance party and people asked me up to 5 hours into it if I had a pocketfull of candy and honestly that's a high compliment in my opinion so let it be known this oil will last but It could be my body chemistry, I've never known a scent to not settle into my skin so....
In all love these both but maybe for my own neuropathy next time I'll just get the strawberry, cause she be the one for me! Hope this helps!

It's still a lovely scent, but I had originally got hooked on this through a sample in the American vintage pack. The 3 oz bottles I just received are a little more earthy smelling. Yes I have the original sample bottle and have compared them side by side.
Overall I still like it a lot. I just hi ope they can work out the consistency issues and for the record I think I like the sample one better.

need to use more than usual to get the aroma

aroma is nice but doesn't seem to leave a scent unless you smell it directly. I used about 40 drops in 1/2 cup gel beads and the aroma doesn't seem to air through a small bathroom, nor can I smell it when I put it in an aroma therapy diffuser.
Better Than Expected

I had no idea what to expect when I ordered these. I searched all reviews for a description of the scents and didn't find any. I went to each scent's individual page to look for descriptions and ask questions and it yielded no help at all either so I'm going to do you a favor and describe what each bottle smells like to me, because THAT is the type of review I would have appreciated when I was shopping. But before I do that, let me start out by saying that I have ordered oils from this company several times in the past but always in smaller batches, and there's usually one or two in the 6-packs that I don't like, which was why I am pleasantly surprised to have found only one scent I'm on the fence about here. And all but one scent (Ocean Breeze) was new to me, so this made me even happier!
I also loved the fact that they weren't all summer scents, like one would expect when the word, vacation is used. Instead, I ended up sorting them into groups based on which season I would most enjoy them in so I'll even break them down that way for you here. But keep in mind, this is MY personal preference, you may enjoy different types of scents at other times of the year.
Oh and one more disclaimer: I'm doing this because I would ask a simple question like, what does sand and sun smell like, and someone would reply, "it smells like you're standing on the beach." Ok, but the last time I was at the beach, all I smelled was kelp and rotting sea lion corpes. Not really a big selling point. I hope in the future, people learn to respond to scent or taste-related questions with words that everyone can related to. For example, a person in the middle of the US who's never been to the beach, would have no idea what that answer meant. Use concrete examples. Without further ado, here's my breakdown.
First up are what I put in my Winter pile:
Aspen Winter: Smells like Christmas (see? a vague term). It smells like pine with a hint if cinnamon. Soft and subtle, yet strong enough that you know instantly what it is when you smell it.
Tobacco Vanilla: Actually smells like cinnamon vanilla to me, perfect for fall or winter. It's similar to their autumn spice scent if you're familiar with that, but more subtle.
Bamboo and Teak: Could work as a fall scent as well. It's woodsy with a hint of lime. Smells like a masculine colonge.
Woodland Bay: Also slightly masculine and sweet. A hint of cinnamon (very faint), a faint apple smell as well. It's really nice, but hard to put into words. IT's sort of a combination of traditional rain scent, with a hint of cinnamon and apple. Would work well as a fall scent too.
Fall Scents (Any of the above would work well in fall too):
Mountain Meets Ocean: Very clean, soapy smell. Slightly masculine. Smells like a bar of soap. (Which soap?) Maybe the old Coast bar soap?
Mountain Rain: Smells like rain scent meets fresh cut grass.
Spring
French Market: Overwhelmingly floral. Smells possibly like a combination of their Magnolia, Wisteria, and Gardenia scents.
Ylang Ylang: Could also be a fall scent. Hard to describe. Smells a little like shampoo from the 70's, which didn't have much fragrance in it back then. I am struggling to find words for this one.
Summer
Monkey Farts (hate this name): Smells like those butter rum lifesavers taste, with a slight hint of pineapple. I want to drink the bottle.
Sun & Sand: Maybe coconut and lemon? Faint, beachy.
Caribbean Escape: coconut and sweet fruit.. hard to distinguish. Love it tho. This is the first one I put in my difuser and I'm smelling a hint of vanilla as is comes out of that, almost like a sweet cotton candy. Maybe I've smelled too many lotions today.
Island Hop: To me, this smells like lime jello, could work as a fall scent too.
Ocean Breeze: This scent I have never liked. At least not in the bottle. I don't know how to describe it either, it's kind of like a musky lime scent.
The last 2 summery scents are really hard to describe and distinguish from one another. They all smell really nice, soft, sweet, and subtle.
Barrier Reef: Sweet. Maybe a pear-like smell with a hint of apple? Fruity.
Mermaid: Smells like a softer, more powdery version of Barrier Reef ^^^
So there you have it. In case you're wondering, I smelled these bottles back to back, with a 54 year old nose. Our senses change as we age, so my takeaways may not be the same as someone in their 20's or 30's. Nevertheless, I don't think you can go wrong with this collection.
My only complaint with this company in general is their labeling. The font size on the bottles is really hard to read for aging eyes. I just learned I've developed mild cataracts so I have trouble reading without complete brightness. I also wear glasses with 2.5 magnification, and I'm still struggling to make out the names so I end up having to take the bottle into an area with a super bright LED light and a magnifying glass, AND my glasses to read the labels. I would love it iif you would consider your middle aged shoppers by 1) enlarging the font on the bottles, and 2) using a light colored font on darker labels. We lose contrast as we age too. Sure I can open a bottle, smell it, and say, "I like this" and pour it in the diffuser, but if I don't know what it's called, I am probably not going to reorder it. As for the small print on the back of the bottle? I can't even read that. So maybe you could take a photo of it and include it with the images so that customers like me can enlarge the images on screen and see what you've written. This is crucial if it turns out to be a warning of any kind. To not make a warning available online would be irresponsible.
With that said, you still earn a 5-star rating from me for this nice collection of oils.

Smells amazing!

This arrived in perfect condition with no leaks. The scent is really wonderful without being overly powerful. My grand daughter works in a doggy daycare where she has to clean poop up and spray down the enclosures. It gets very smelly, so she wears a mask and puts a little dab of this essential oil on it. She says it really helps cover up the bad odors. Great product, good for many uses and really does smell beautiful!
