I'm using this model with the reaper grip and it's well suited for both my M110 bolt gun and carbines. It's light, easy to collapse, and the pivot head is well built. This tripod was definitely designed by shooters for shooters.
This Tripod has the pull/push locks on the legs. Not the cam type twist to unlock/lock.

The 800 series tripod is very stable and the Reaper grip holds the rifle extremely well. With rifle, scope, and hardware I have around 11 lbs attached to the grip that didn't move and the legs did not slip. Very nice setup.

Securely held a variety of firearms without wobbling or damaging the finish. Pretty much as simple as it looks...loosen a screw, put your rifle between the padded jaws, and tighten. Works great. I tested this with a variety of AR-type weapons, and a couple bolt action rifles.
