For 2022 I chose royal blue as my winter color. It's just how I get through the winter here in Sault Saint Siberia, lol. Anyway, when I found this coat I was thrilled. I read the reviews and took the advice to order the coat several sizes bigger. The advice was on point. The coat does run very small. Don't get me wrong, it is beautiful. And for the price, well, I'm satisfied. If you happen to be a well endowed woman, get the coat at least 4 to 5 sizes bigger than usual. You won't regret the purchase. Bottom line, I really like this coat and the complimentary responses from friends are nice too.
A great coat, here's some answers to some questions you might have.

I got this great coat because I wanted a big, blue fur coat to keep me warm at outdoor events. This is a really great coat, and I hope maybe I can answer some questions you might have (or ones I had).
1. It smells mildly and yes, it's from China. You're paying $140 for a long fur coat, don't be grumbly or surprised. I'm sure airing it out will solve that.
2. DO order 2 sizes up from your normal size. I'm 5'3", 140 with 38-31-43 measurements. I normally wear a size L or a 10-12 in jeans. I got a 2XL. This coat fits well enough to wear a bulky sweater and jeans under it. There's also enough room to close it and sit. It measures 16" from top of shoulder to top of shoulder, 24" from top of shoulder to cuff, and 39" from top of shoulder to hem.
3. It'll never be big and poofy like the vendor's photos. It just can't have that "chinchilla poof" that they show, the fibers aren't fine enough. BUT, it is a nice coat and maybe shaking it and blowing it with air or cool hair dryer will help. It comes in a vacuum bag so it's a bit squashed when you take it out (like in my photos).
4. There are 1.5" PVC stips between each 5" of fur. That's to give it the lined or "step" look. So yes, you can see the strips if you move the fur, but if you move it back, the fur is 1.5" long and it covers the strips pretty well. Note that the blue of the strips (and inside of the coat where the hook and eye closure is) doesn't *quite* match, but again, it's really not a problem unless you go looking for it.
5. The pockets are slash type and they're on the side seams, which feel a little awkward to me (I guess I think they should be more forward or something) but eh, it's pockets. There are no inner pockets however (whyyyy??) so I guess I'll have to add some myself.
6. Closures - it is eye and hook and it takes a bit of time and patience to get it closed. I think I'll have plastic buckles on web straps added inside to make it quicker to close and a little more adjustable. The hooks and eyes aren't really lined up very precisely either, and when you sit some hooks want to unhook.
7. This coat is heavy and warm. It weighs a little over 5 lbs. So break out the wooden hangers for this coat.
