I got this do do some Automotive repair and general things arond the house when needed. I replaced the alternator on my wife's car, and it took the bolts off fine. But, if the bolt is torqued tight, you will have to break it loose with a bar or socket wrench first.
The battery charged fast and lasts a long time. I haven't had to recharge yet. I got the upgraded 50ft pound torque model. It's made well, not real heavy but durable. Will it last? I don't know but if you just use a socket wrench from time to time doing basic auto repair or repairs or assembly of things around the house it should be fine. Now if your a mechanic, you will probably want a much more expensive rugged model.

I purchased this cordless ratchet from S-Long and the never had to charge the battery for a few months. Once I charged the battery it would not charge after 24 hrs. I co reacted SLong about the problem and they immediately responded. They had me to try a few troubleshooting techniques to no avail. I just knew I needed to purchase another cordless ratchet but they were very understanding and very helpful in replacing the cordless ratchet.
