We purchased this whiteboard for our flight school instructors. As they move to different areas and rooms they can easily push/pull this board along with them. Plus it's not too big or bulky. Yet it's big enough to put the info they need on it. In addition, it rotates and they can just pull down on the top and the backside has another nice clean surface. Plus it came undamaged and on time. So far we are very happy with it.

I marked this as a 4/5, because I assume you are like me and don't read 5 star or 1 star reviews. The truth is always in the middle. But honestly, it's 5/5 for what you are paying -- just between you and me. Shhh. :)

It is a rare thing for me to rush to give a review on a product on Amazon. I just put my whiteboard together and gave it a test. It works flawlessly. But that's not why I rushed here to review it. I rushed here to review it because the experience of putting it together, and unboxing it was unusual for most products that I purchased. It is one of those experiences that kind of keeps surprising you as you work your way through it. It's definitely not like unboxing a new iPhone, it's rougher than that -- more genuine -- like a independent labor of love. Like, I said... rare.

So first surprise. The packaging on this thing is beyond extra. There is tape covering and holding all the parts in place in the box, and it's a major puzzle to figure out how exactly to get the damn thing out. The good part of this is ZERO damage (and honestly I don't see how that could ever happen with how much of a fortress this is, but I digress). The bad part of this is it's a bit like breaking into Fort Knox.

Then your first surprise gently wafts its way to the floor. A gift? For me? Wow. I don't want to spoil exactly what you are getting so I'm going to stop there, but its definitely not something that I was expecting. I bought a whiteboard, I got more than that.

Then it's time to organize the screws. Oooh, what's this white box? You slowly open it, and yet again ANOTHER GIFT. And even better.... it's something you probably need but forgot about. Very useful for meetings. Attached to it is a heartfelt letter. "Thank you for giving us a chance. Enjoy this small token of our appreciation." -- And this gift is something I've easily seen for $10+ elsewhere. It's not a small a token. It's substantial.

I never would have expected this experience. Now, it's clearly a Chinese product. The English isn't quite right, the instructions can be a bit confusing (the steel holes point outward, not inward). But damn it, they tried. They put their heart and soul into making this as special as they could. That means something to me. It's so rare to see it these days. Genuine care and appreciation for your customers and for your customer experience. It's there.

So what are the cons?

First off, you are buying a budget whiteboard. This isn't some $300-$600 whiteboard you have at work. It's better than a LOT of whiteboards on Amazon, but you are buying somewhere between Walmart and Target in quality if that makes sense. It's not terrible. It's not great. It will do the job. It looks pretty. It's not perfect. That's okay.

There are clearly some costs cut and some quality concerns with the hardware. I would have liked to have seen a bigger knob on the tension screws to keep the whiteboard in place when it's not directly upright. These are thumb turners. They should be palm turners. Some of the screw placements are a bit off. It's not really a problem in practice but the lack of attention to detail here is a bit annoying. The wheel plates do not match up with the thumb turner screw at all. It works, but I would have prefer it to catch on them.

The markers are pretty good, but I haven't used them enough to determine just how long they will last. I suspect they aren't quite as good as Expo, or Quartet markers, but then what else is? It's good. It does the job. They write nicely. Well done.

The eraser is bang on quality. It has a good weight to it and it does an exceptional job at clearing the markers of the board without leaving any streaks or residue behind. The common expo erasers are way worse then the ones provided here. Again, well done.

Final verdict. If you are looking for a "good enough" whiteboard that will get the job done, and last for awhile and support what is clearly a company that cares about it's customers then you can't go wrong with this one. If you want perfect, top of the line, you might want to skip this.

But come on? We're talking about a whiteboard here. You don't need a Lexus when a Honda Civic is good enough. This is a fine choice for any entrepreneur, home business, small business or DnD group. You will be happy buying this. I 100% recommend it and I will be buying another one when the time is right.

I have been happy with this purchase, despite it being slightly damaged upon arrival. It was easy to put together, the pieces of the item and the hardware used to assemble seem to be good quality (it's not flimsy like some things you have to assemble). The board writes smoothly and erases well. The magnetic aspect of the board works well. Love that it came with a flip chart and the hardware to hang it and that it's double sided. Overall, happy with the purchase and believe it will work well in our homeschool classroom environment.

The one photo showing the damage shows that there is about a 10-12 inch long bubble in the board. It's thin (about the thickness of my index finger), but noticeable for sure. I covered it with the flip pad. Do I wish it wasn't there, of course, but I just decided it wasn't worth it to worry about returning or exchanging it. If it was for a professional setting like an office, I would, but for our use at home I just didn't feel it was worth it.

I'm super happy with my 3x4 mobile whiteboard and highly recommend it.

I'm a professor at a small college in the midwest. I'm teaching online this semester, and want to make the class as much like a regular class as possible. In a regular class, I'd stand at the whiteboard in the front of the room and either lecture or jot down key points students raise as they discuss the material.

To replicate this, I have a webcam aimed at the whiteboard. On my screen, I can see all the students who've logged in remotely, Hollywood Squares-style. It's not the same as in-person, of course. But this, in combination with discussion boards and working with small groups or one-on-one, seems to be working pretty well.

The whiteboard itself is very high quality - as good as the ones in the classrooms. The 3x4 size is perfect. It's large enough for my teaching needs, and I love that I can flip it over and use the other side. It's small enough that it doesn't take over my office, and it's reasonably portable---I set it up at home earlier this summer and tested it out there, and then moved it to my office at school where I've been using it daily.

Assembly was not trivial but very do-able. Took me 30 minutes or so. The instructions are adequate, not stellar. I'd say take your time and don't rush it.

In use, it's easy to flip over to write on the other side. Locking the wheels in place is easy and works well, so you can write away on the board and it won't move around on you. Unlocking the wheels so you can roll it around is easy, too.

You should know a couple things about the height adjustability. First, you can choose from three different positions when you're initially putting it together. The tallest position is 12" higher than the shortest position, and there's a medium position 1/2 between them. For each of those three positions, there is a corresponding position for the tray that holds the markers & eraser.

Also, it is possible to change the height of the board after you've initially set it up, but I don't think it's designed for frequent height changes and I wouldn't recommend doing it on the fly (i.e., during your class or presentation). Best would be to set it up at the height you think will work best for you, live with it for a day or two, then change if needed. Then, leave it at that height.

One caveat about webcams and lighting: This board is pretty reflective (just like the ones in the classrooms at my school). In person, it is perfectly legible (well, except for my messy writing). But most offices have uneven lighting, esp. if you're lucky enough to have a window. Reflections and light differences are greatly magnified by the webcam to the people watching remotely. This is partly because uneven lighting is always a challenge for photography, and because webcams usually struggle with uneven lighting. As a result, parts of the board will be less legible to remote viewer than other parts.

There are a couple things you should do. First, make a short practice recording to see how it will look to your remote viewers. If uneven lighting or reflections make parts of the screen hard to read, then experiment with webcam placement, use a lamp or two and experiment with placement. If your space has windows, try with the shades down to reduce reflections.

These suggestions will probably help, and might be sufficient. But if the image is still not clear enough, you can try using an actual camera instead of a webcam. Cameras are much more forgiving of imperfect light because they have better lenses. If your camera has a HDMI output and a movie mode, this will probably work. The camera's HDMI output allows people to to connect their camera to their TV to view their pictures on the big screen. But it can also be used to send the camera's output to a computer, just like a webcam does. You just need a HDMI capture card, and Amazon has lots of inexpensive ones (the one I got cost $25).

Got my board today for my home office. I like the adjustability so I can sit and write and draw flow diagrams from my chair, and my granddaughter can draw on the other side with ease. I like the clock and the eraser and assembly was rather intuitive despite the lack of detail in the instructions. The eraser is kind of odd as it will hold the free timer, but the magnet doesn't hold with the timer in the eraser. I look forward with much trouble free use. It is sturdy, has the flip chart and is adjustable. A fantastic value for the price.
