They are better than most pillowcases but I'm starting to think there is no such thing as a pillowcase that my head heat doesn't turn into an oven. When I first put my head on it, it's noticibly cooler than most pillowcases and stays cooler longer than most also, but still within about 10 minutes I need to flip it over. It does feel better when I flip it and stays cooler longer than most but I will still need to flip it again and again. It feels noticibly several degrees colder than most pillows when my head first touches it and I like that.

I ordered bright grey & it's more of a blueish grey, but I like it w/ my decor! Love the zipper closure it stays in place, & these just might be my new favorite for extra pillows, as I use satin for my main head pillow. I ordered the envelope-style pillowcases because the ones with zippers are very difficult to put onto and take off my pillows. I returned the first set and was sent the same exact ones as a replacement, so I just kept them because now the envelope-style ones in the color I ordered are out of stock. As for the pillowcases themselves... they work great for me! I suffer from night sweats and hot flashes and these pillowcases have really helped cool me down. I love that I can turn the pillow around and still have a cool spot once these warm up a little too much. I just wish I could get the envelope-style... and that they made them with this cooling fabric on both sides instead of just one. I have no need for the warm side of it.
This was my third order of these type of pillowcases. I have noticed that they seem to loose their cooling abilities after several washes. Also, the zippers in them tear out of the fabric pretty easily if you're not careful when putting them on and taking them off your pillows. But, for the better night's sleep that I've gotten from using them, I'll let that slide.
A note to the seller / manufacturer... Please consider labeling the different styles better to indicate if it is envelope-style or zipper-style. I had to open the package all the way up and take them out to find out that they were the wrong ones... twice. It might also help Amazon send me the right ones in the future. ;)
