This is a preliminary result. I tested the LED at lower voltage and with pulsed bias to avoid heating At 9V the current is 100mA therefore eating only 0.9W. Temporary bias at 11V allowed passing a larger current in line with the posted power by seller (3W). It is really bright. Therefore I believe that the first poor review is due to user's incompetence and more likely he using a driver with current limitation (he reported low emission at 10V, while I got bright emission at 9V). Unfortunately, too many people do not know what they a doing and blame on poor Chinese product quality. This review does not cover the product reliability. Will append the review after biasing, heatsinking the product the correct way and having it under bias to at least 100hours (standard is1,000 hours)
