The sizing was either fit the bust, or fit the waist. Luckily I could size the bust down to fit better. Check your measurements before buying and you won't be disappointed. Take it to a tailor to have it sized if it's too big. It's easier to make things smaller than bigger. The quality is great. A super pretty silvery grey with dusty pink accents. The construction is very well done and it includes the apron, no shirt. This is the perfect gift for my German mother in law to wear for Oktoberfest and other themed parties. Sorry to no photo of the skirt, she still has it since I only needed to fix the dress. Photos are post fix.

I loved how comfortable and easy to wear this dirndl is. Out of the package I wondered if it was too small but realized that the next size up would be too big. I ironed the dress, apron and ribbon on the wool setting with steam and it freshened up perfectly. I got lots of comments on how cute is was and "authentic" . I am not sure how authentic it really is, but I felt happy and pretty wearing it and knew that it didn't look like a cheap costume. I paired the dindl with a shirt that I also got on Amazon. I am 5'4" 155 pounds, 40" chest. I ordered the US size 14 and was shipped a German 42 which was perfect. I am very happy with my purchase. This dress makes me feel happy and pretty!

I really love this dirndl because the fit, design, colors and workmanship are all excellent. I've lived in Munich and have worn many dirndls usually of the more traditional type (with embroidery). This is a more updated modern type of dirndl. I wear a 12 (36D) and ordered a 14 based on the size chart. I already had dirndl blouses but wore it with a silky pink tshirt and pink sandals for a more casual look. It can be dressed up as well with heels and lacy blouse. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
