Look - the dress cut is stunning. The reviews are totally spot on. A Small fit me with enough extra room to eat/drink/dance. I'm 5'9' Size 2 with hourglass figure. Length would allow for me to wear heels, which might be a problem for petite ladies.
I returned the dress though because the fabric does look inexpensive in-person. I bet it would photograph well though, so depending on your intent this still may be a great option for you. Mine is needed for a true-black tie wedding though and I don't think the fabric is fancy enough. Total bummer though - it is so flattering!

I'm 5'7 and 160ish lbs. I ordered the large and it fit nice. You need seamless panties and can wear a strapless bra. the fabric is cheap but it looks better once it's on. It's very comfy and served me well as a very quick delivery and solution for a black formal dress for a wedding guest.
