As a result of a bicycle accident I had a "road rash" patch measuring approximately 3"x4" on my hip. There's no question that these stay on well and are very much waterproof. The first few weeks I had to keep my incisions dry. I put these on and foolishly left them on until the next shower. I did that for a out 4 days. Then realized I really only needed them in the shower and then could take them off. It just seemed a lot for just the shower. However, by the 4rh day my skin was raw, so I only kept them on during the shower. 2 weeks later, it's still pretty raw and red. But they stick and are really waterproof, so they did the job.
